Toshiba Introduces New High-Speed Data Processing with ARM® Cortex®-M4 Microcontroller

Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Co., Ltd. (Toshiba) introduces M4G Group microcontrollers for office automation (OA) equipment, audio-visual (AV) equipment and industrial equipment, and expands TXZTM series of microcontrollers using Arm® Cortex®-M4 Product lineup. Mass production will begin with the selected product and then gradually start mass production of other products.

The M4G Group features the Arm® Cortex®-M4 core with FPU. The product integrates high-performance analog circuits, multiple timers and communication channels, and offers a range of package options from 100-177 pins with built-in flash memory from 512KB to 1536KB. The operating frequency is up to 160MHz.

In addition to high-precision analog circuits such as a 10-bit analog data converter (up to 24 channels) and an 8-bit digital analog data converter (2 channels) with a 1.0μs conversion speed, the M4G Group also integrates two DMA controls. The high speed DMA controller and multifunction DMA controller. These two controllers achieve low power consumption and advanced features, while integrating highly versatile peripheral circuits such as Serial Memory Interface (SMIF), UART, I2C, TSPI, and timers to build large-scale, large-scale single-chip systems. .

The analog digital data converter selects two sampling periods for any channel, helping to reduce impedance matching components in large systems that require multiple sensors. Built-in timer, UART and TSPI interconnect functions and time-of-day width detection hardware (ISD) help reduce software processing load.

Toshiba will continue to expand its lineup of TXZ series to meet the needs of the motor control and global sensor market. Includes high-speed data processing communication control, or low- to medium-speed motor control with high-precision analog circuits.
